Implementation of bionic structures for filtration using 3D printing.

1500 liters of blood per day. This is the amount of fluid that is filtered by our body's own membranes - the kidneys - each weighing around 150 grams.

These natural abilities and structures are to be used for the first time to develop complex carrier structures for energy-efficient, resource-saving and innovative technical membranes or membrane modules.

The developed structures are manufactured using various 3D printing processes.
