Eine abmeldung (Außerbetriebsetzung) eines Fahrzeuges, z. B. eine Autoabmeldung, können Sie persönlich bei jeder Zulassungsbehörde in Deutschland beantragen.
Für in Jena zugelassene Fahrzeuge können Sie die abmeldung Ihres Fahrzeuges auch über unseren Onlinedienst beantragen.
Documents
- Registration certificate Part I or vehicle registration document
- Registration certificate part II or vehicle title (if applicant and vehicle owner are identical, it is sufficient to submit the ZB I)
- Vehicle registration plates - After the vehicle has been stamped, the registration plates will be returned or can be disposed of here.
- If the vehicle is not scrapped Declaration by vehicle owner that vehicle is not to be disposed of as waste. To be noted with powers of attorney - therefore use our sample deregistration power of attorney.
- If the vehicle is to be scrapped: Proof of disposal or declaration of whereabouts in accordance with the End-of-Life Vehicle Ordinance.
- If necessary, power of attorney and personal document (copy) of the vehicle owner.
Note: In the case of financed vehicles, the registration certificate Part II does not have to be requested from the bank for the purpose of decommissioning! A written declaration of consent from the bank to the decommissioning is sufficient.

Document issue - without an appointment
Documents that have already been applied for and are now ready for collection (passport, ID card and eID card as well as documents from the driving license authority) can be collected from reception during opening hours without an appointment.
Other requests with an appointment
An appointment must be booked for personal visits for other matters. This can be done online or by telephone.

The registration authority uses special adhesive seals with special security features for the vehicle documents. This increases the total fees by € 0.30 per adhesive seal used.
