In addition to guided tours and an exhibition, we also offer hands-on activities for young and old...

Together with our customers, we influence light from the ultraviolet to the infrared for a variety of unique applications.

The targeted attenuation of a color at 1:100 million in fluorescence analysis, laser communication over hundreds of kilometers or the view of 10 billion year old galaxies - all these applications use light in different spectral ranges to obtain information. These applications are made possible by optical filters, so-called "thin-film interference filters". The controlled deposition of hundreds of individual layers - in some cases thinner than a thousandth of a hair - makes it possible to manufacture the required precision optics.

A guided tour along the production area of dielectric thin-film interference filters illustrates the challenges and special solutions in the production chain, while numerous interactive stations invite visitors to marvel and understand.
