Power outage in Göschwitz and Winzerla

Stadtwerke Jena Netze report:

Power outage in Göschwitz and Winzerla: Repairs expected to last until midday

Presumably due to two cable faults on the same line, around 1,000 households and businesses in Göschwitz and Winzerla are currently without power. The Göschwitz industrial estate and an area between Jembo-Park and Rudolstädter Straße as well as the residential area of Winzerla are affected. Stadtwerke Jena Netze is working to rectify the fault.

However, this is proving difficult and will probably continue into the afternoon. The two damaged areas have now been localized, but have not yet been found. The work will initially concentrate on the Göschwitz area. Stadtwerke Jena Netze asks for your understanding.

At around 6:15 a.m., two circuit breakers in the Göschwitz substation and a switching station in Winzerla tripped, leading to the power outage. The reason for this is still unclear.
