Applying for a special building use permit
Anyone wishing to use a road, including pavements, cycle paths, parking or hard shoulders, etc. beyond the scope of public use requires a special use permit in accordance with Section 18 of the Thuringian Roads Act from the road construction authority, in this case the KSJ/Road Administration.
This applies, among other things, to
- setting up containers and scaffolding, machinery and equipment (construction site equipment),
- the depositing of material,
- driving over pavements and footpaths and
- exceeding the permitted tonnage,
- Exception to tonnage restrictions
Details
Impairment of traffic
Special uses or excavations may cause disruption to vehicle or pedestrian traffic. In this case, an application must be submitted to the City of Jena's road traffic authority, Traffic Organization Department, for traffic regulation measures to be ordered (-> Downloads).
Procedure/deadlines
A corresponding application should be submitted to the road construction authority, KSJ/Road Administration 14 days before the planned use. In this way, the necessary determinations can be made or, if necessary, other areas can be involved.
