WEDGE [Heavy Fuzz&Psych, Berlin] and KING HOWL [Heavy Psych Blues, Sardinia]
WEDGE
An integral part of the European underground rock scene since the very beginning, over a short time the group managed to establish a steadily growing fan base by playing countless shows since 2014 everywhere in Europe, including several important festivals as Bukta Open Air, Desert Fest, Stoned from the Underground, Burg Herzberg Festival and more.
Their sound is accordingly archaic, extremely effective, „made from solid rock“ and, when used correctly, causes fire. They blend mainly elements of classic rock, kraut rock, 60s garage and some Heavy Psychedelic with a proper dose of joy while playing.
Even before the band found its name, their first studio album was created and promptly released in November 2014 and it was sold out after a short time. The second album, „Killing Tongue“ followed in 2018 (Heavy Psych Sounds), solidifying the band’s reputation for hitting just the right sweet spot between vintage analog rock tone and contemporary rock sound in their studio work. Their latest album „Like No Tomorrow“ was released in 2021 also on Heavy Psych Sounds and received exclusively great reviews in relevant rock magazines and media worldwide.
KING HOWL
Heavy-Psych-Blues band born in 2010 in Cagliari, Sardinia. Their set is a flow gravitating between ass-kicking Boogie, Hard-Rock, and monolithic riffs, boosted with mystical and psychedelic excursuses. So do not expect Muddy Waters or any classical Blues, and to be honest do not expect anything ordinary at all. Since 2010 the band has hit the road several times, sweating on hundreds of European stages as well as on famous festivals. In the studio they’ve been active releasing the debut full-length “King Howl Quartet” in 2012 and the “Truck Stop EP” in 2014, in which the sound shifted towards a heavier Blues and more elaborated Stoner-Rock. Their style was definitely marked on stone with the really well acclaimed „Rougarou“ (2017).
After releasing the last blast in the LP „Homecoming“ (June 2023, Electric Valley Records) the 4 wolves jumped again on a van and toured three times through the roads of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech, Belgium, France and Italy, charming the crowds with sweaty performances.
