Even if the causes of migration are different, they reflect similar experiences. Familiar places and relationships have to be left behind. Escape routes are uncertain. There are hopes associated with arriving. In personal portraits, the exhibition provides insights into how life stories are influenced by flight and displacement. The level of abstraction is deliberately abandoned. The people show themselves. They are given a face and a voice. They thus become a concrete counterpart. The exhibition is being presented for the first time in Thuringia in cooperation with the Forum der Kulturen e.V. Stuttgart.
